like a note-taking ghost
it hovers with blurbs of what has been,
a reminder that in this modern world,
everything we think is lost
is also recorded:
the announcement
displayed before us
for everything we have put behind us.
a trackback, pingback, retweet, repeat
of the words we have said
and the people we have become–
focused on the past,
looking towards the future.
